There are more people in work in the UK right now than there have been for nearly forty years. Of course this is good news but it is putting pressure on the labour market. Many retailers are reporting how difficult it is to get reliable employees. This in turn is pushing small retailers towards delivered wholesale and away from cash & carry purchasing. Most of the big C&C operators are seeing their delivered business increase at the expense of traditional C&C collect purchasing.
